Local Milan Design Week 2017

For Milan Design week myself and 10 other Australian designers built an exhibition using 8000 bricks held within the grounds of Piazza Sant'Ambrogio. The show was curated by the talented Emma Elizabeth founder of Local Design an incredible feat. For the show we launched the new Mito Light with Rakumba Lighting and presented the Jeanette outdoor chair with SP01.

MITO LIGHT

Launching Milan Design Week 2017

The Mito lighting series was designed to celebrate the natural beauty and character of raw materials. Minimal in design, Mito juxtaposes precision manufacturing techniques with natural hand finished timbers and stones to create a truly sculptural light. THe piece was made in collaboration with Rakumba Lighting.

SP01 MILAN LAUNCH

Milan Design Week 2017

For Milan Design week we officially launched the new SP01 outdoor collection in Europe housed within the Archiproducts Milano building, Via Tortona 31. The entire outdoor collection will be on show for the following 12 months.

Solo Design Exhibition

Solo exhibition launched within the Stockholm Furniture Fair, showcasing a selection of pieces including the new SP01 outdoor range and Bailey Light. Awarded Archiproducts Design selection. 

 

BRICKWORKS

Local Design

For a recent commission by Brickworks I attempted to reinterpret the glazed bricks as bold pieces of minimal furniture, each piece using the inherent properties of the bricks in combination with solid timber dowel sytem. The deep blue and pine pieces were made at three heights to explore the pieces as a range. Pieces were styled by Emma Elizabeth. 

LOCAL MILAN

Milan Salone Exhibition

Curation of Local Milan exhition with Emma Elizabeth of Local Design of 12 leading Australian designers for the Milan Salone which included the Bow chair and Wes lounge. Set within the dramatic Teatro Arsenale over 5000 bricks were used to style and present the largest showcase of Australian design to date.
